Child Abuse Prevention Quilt Contest

Join us for this fun new initiative between the CAN Council, Northern Lights CAC, and the Linus Project!

Show off your quilting skills by registering and submitting your very own Child Abuse Prevention Quilt. It shouldn’t hurt to be a kid - 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys face abuse before their 18th birthday. Help us raise awareness of our community’s programs and organizations dedicated to helping young survivors find help, hope, and comfort after facing trauma.

Quilts submitted will be featured in Peter White Public Library’s Lower Level Gallery Space. The public will vote for their favorite quilt and the winner will be announced Monday, June 30th. The winner will be announced on our social media, in our blog, and in press releases to local media with a photo of the quilt and quilter! Additional prizes may be secured and information will be updated here.

Quilt submissions must be 5x5, and must contain a blue pinwheel in the design - the blue pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention. Other than that your quilt is your canvas!

  • Quilts must be received by May 23rd

  • Quilts submitted will be featured in PWPL throughout June!
