A SAFE, EMPOWERING SPACE

At Northern Lights Child Advocacy Center, we create a safe, welcoming space for kids and teens to share their experiences in cases of suspected abuse and neglect. To protect and support each child, we partner with law enforcement, child protective services, and other justice-related and medical professionals to ensure that investigations put child safety first, and give families tools to help heal and move forward. LIGHT UP THE DARK FOR FAMILIES ACROSS MARQUETTE COUNTY

After traumatic events, children and their families need a safe and comforting place to find support services, case management, referrals to community partners, court preparation, prevention education, and more.

Northern Lights CAC is a registered 501(c)3, non-profit organization, and the only child advocacy center in Marquette County. Northern Lights offers a constellation of high-quality, trauma-informed, child-centered services as we walk alongside each child and their non-offending family on their journey to healing and justice.

You can make all the difference for children and families in our community. Help us grow capacity and make our space more welcoming and comfortable. Check out our how you can help page for more, follow us on social media, and subscribe to stay in touch!

What is a
children’s advocacy center?

  • Two young girls embrace while thier mother is on the couch behind them out of focus and lost in thought. The mood of the image is neutral to melancholy.

Help us build a strong foundation, and make a difference for kids across our county.

  • A young child holds their hand to caregiver's hand as they balance on wooden pillars on the beach.

Walk with us as we work to make this light in the dark possible, together.

  • A mom comforts her daughter whose hands cover her face.

In investigations for abuse and neglect children need trained professionals and a safe space to share their truth.

  • A man comforts his very young son in his arms while sitting beside his softly lit reading nook.

Be a community builder. Let's work together to make this possible!
